The 606

4.0

Converted train line that is now an elevated trail for walking, running, and biking

Cam's Thoughts:

Look, I know the 606 is not really a "hidden gem", but many people from the burbs or from other areas of Chicago may not even know it exists. This elevated path is filled with beautiful flowers and greenery, plus has some interesting art like a big wall of animal eyes. Need to get some steps in so that your Apple Watch will get pumped for you? Head to the 606 and put some minutes in. Need an easy place to go for a run? Use the 606, which has markers for every 0.1 miles (the whole length is 2.7 miles). Personally, the 606 is my favorite spot to put in a run when I am going for a specific distance or time - maybe you'll see me on it!
