Go to the Harold Washington Library, then go up the escalators back-and-forth until you can't anymore. Then, start looking around for another set of escalators (they are over by the elevator) to get up to the Winter Garden. This place is super quiet, has some great greenery and views of the city, and some tables to sit at. Definitely a hidden gem and worth seeing.
