L Frank Baum wrote the Wizard of Oz and lived in a Humboldt Park residence. It is unclear if he wrote the Wizard of Oz while he lived here, though… I have heard and seen many differing stories on this subject. Regardless, the location now pays homage to Baum by changing the sidewalk to yellow bricks for 20 or so meters. Plus, it has a cool artistic sign nearby!
